Sun will nominate five more people to travel with him to space.

TRON founder Justin Sun announced in a press release today that he has placed the winning bet for the first seat on Blue Origin’s first New Shepard rocket.

The $28 million bid will be used by the Blue Origin Foundation Club for the Future to support 19 space-based charities and promote careers in STEM.

As Grenada’s ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO, Sun will be the first Grenadian international diplomat and blockchain industry leader to visit space.

Blue Origin completed its first human spaceflight on July 20 this year and envisions a future where millions of people live and work in space.

“Given the rapid development of commercial aerospace, entering space can become a dream that every person can realize throughout his life. We are entering the era of great space travel. This great journey requires more people to get involved“, said Sun.

Sun will nominate five exceptional men and women to accompany him on the journey in the coming months. The nominees may include members of the TRON DAO community, long-time owners of TRX, BTT, JST, SUN, NFT and WIN, as well as leaders in fashion, art, technology, space exploration and entrepreneurship. Details on the nomination criteria and the procedure will be announced later.

As part of his journey, the crypto star is also launching “Seas of Stars”, a campaign designed to convey that the next chapter of human life begins and does not end on Earth.

Sun explained that the vision of Blue Origin was remarkable, to allow more people to visit space and to consider the Earth as our unique common home:

“Club for the Future offers a way to use this experience to inspire young people around the world to dream and realize their dreams of science, technology and space exploration. I felt compelled to push this vision forward through my offer.“
